In order to get my visual and story ideas across clearly for the "I Don't Dream Anymore" music video animation, I created this storyboard that I then turned into an animatic (the animatic is in the gallery below).

 

From there, I turned each scene from the animatic into fluid motion, to then be colored and refined for the finished music video. I did all of the drawing and animation in Photoshop, and did the final editing in Premiere Pro.

Although this collaborative college stop motion short film was only partially animated, we did complete the full storyboard. See our quirky, surreal, and at times dark, story for "Social Commentary" come to life through these storyboard pages.

 

I made sure each setting had a different "Scene Lead" so the direction was split evenly, and each shot was storyboarded by a designated "Story Artist." Those are labeled throughout the storyboard.

For my BFA in Film and Animation, I chose to fully storyboard, design, and animate my graduation film project. This is the second and final draft of the storyboard where I refined some scenes and visuals.

 

I also removed the few parts of dialogue I originally had in the first draft. From there, I could focus more on the flow of the scenes and animations, as well as showcase my illustrative and graphic arts skills with the backgrounds and characters.
