Designed a custom illustrated coffee icon logo that integrated the client’s existing wordmark into a painterly, textured mark inspired by my animated short "Bee Tea."

This project involved the creation of a custom illustrated icon logo designed to house the client’s existing wordmark. Drawing inspiration from my animated short "Bee Tea" — specifically its painterly textures and expressive shading — I translated that visual style into a cohesive brand mark.

After reviewing annotated reference material and client feedback, I developed two initial compositional directions: a high-angle side view and a top-down view of a coffee cup and saucer. The selected top-down concept provided a strong circular frame to center the wordmark.

I refined the chosen direction in Adobe Photoshop with rich color blocking, painterly highlights, soft shading, and subtle frothing details to give depth and warmth to the coffee surface. A steam asset provided by the client was integrated and adjusted to align seamlessly with the illustration. The final composition balances illustrative charm with functional brand clarity, creating a logo mark that feels handcrafted yet scalable.
